If you’re seeking batteries or pads for the LIFEPAK 500 you might have a hard time finding them. In fact anybody supplying parts for this older type AED should really be advising you that the AED has been deemed “end of life.” The manufacturer of the LIFEPAK is Physio-Control and they announced that the “end of life” for this device was January 31st, 2015.
AED One-Stop Shop is a National LIFEPAK dealer/supplier/retailer. And we are armed with some powerful incentives to help customers replace their LIFEPAK 500 AEDs with a new type AED Defibrillator. The good news for customers is that the newer type AEDs (as you might expect) are simpler to use, more reliable, more affordable to maintain and they are packed with greater technology. One of the most common AED types that customers upgrade to are the LIFEPAK CR-Plus AEDs. These are obviously the same trusted LIFEPAK brand but they are the latest technology for public defibrillators. A few key differences for these AEDs are as follow:
- More advanced platform
- Enhanced upgradability (CPR prompts for example)
- Fast delivery of shock
- Up to 360J of energy for tough to defibrillate patients
- Availability of “Fully-Automatic” model
- Affordable Charge-Pak battery sticks
- Unique pull handle for use of electrode pads
- Enhanced general ease-of-use
